Parasols
The parasols are contradictory objects—simultaneously whirling dervishes, volcanic forms, and protective devices. They are pocked with holes and dance across the floor, celebrating movement and mutation. Some reference acid rain—a symbol of nature gone awry. They embody tension and transformation, challenging their traditional function and meaning.
